Casement window:

 

       A casement window refers to the hinge (hinge) installed on the side of the door and window.        Advantages: simple, safe, flexible, and convenient to clean the outside glass of the window. The wind pressure resistance, water tightness and air tightness of the casement window are better than that of the sliding window.        Disadvantages: If it is opened inward, it takes up a large indoor and outdoor area, and the window is easy to accidentally bump and cause injury. Failure to close it in time may cause rainwater to soak the indoor environment.

 

 

 

Sliding window:

 

 

 

       The doors and windows are pushed and pulled vertically in the horizontal direction through the window sashes equipped with pulleys sliding on the track on the window frame.

 

 

 

       Advantages: The sliding window does not take up extra space when in use, no matter when it is opened or closed, it is very flexible and convenient, safe and reliable. The overall structure of the doors and windows is relatively simple and atmospheric, with large glass blocks and sufficient lighting.

 

 

 

       Disadvantages: The sash of the sliding window can only be opened to 1/2. Because the area of ​​the sliding window is generally large, the wind pressure resistance performance is generally not ideal. The sliding window is generally sealed with a strip, and the effect of the sealing strip is generally better than that of the top seal. Generally, hook locks or latch locks are used for locking, and the sealing effect is not ideal. Furthermore, sliding windows rely on the pulleys underneath to withstand the horizontal wind load. The frequency of long-term use is high, and the pulleys are easy to damage and make the doors and windows unable to operate normally.

 

 

 

       All objects have advantages and disadvantages, and some disadvantages can be avoided with proper application. Compared with the price of casement windows and sliding windows, the prices of casement windows are generally higher than that of sliding windows, and they will also be better than those of sliding windows in terms of hardware accessories.
